What is Globocal Service?
It is a subscription-based service that allows you as a subscriber to call and talk to any other Globocal service subscriber anywhere without paying a per-minute charge by simply calling the subscribers Globocal Number. It is voice communication service that operates with VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology.
What is a Globocal Number?
It is a real telephone number that is issued by the local telephone company of Toronto, Canada, but when it is assigned to Globocal service subscriber residing anywhere in the world, it is a virtual telephone number embedded in a Globox that the subscriber has to have in order to use the Globocal service.
What is a Globox?
It is a device that is required for accessing the Internet and for transforming voice into packets for communication by VoIP at the call originating end (or callers end) and for converting the packets back into voice at the call terminating end (or the callees end). It can be in various forms:
(i) a VoIP gateway that is designed for use with Broadband (high-speed) Service and for use with one or more analog (regular) single-line telephones

What is VoIP?
VoIP is a way of using the Internet to make telephone calls. The Globox acts as a converter that turns your voice into packets of data that are sent over the Internet instead of through the traditional telephone system/network for originating the call. There must also be a Globox at the receiving end (terminating end) that converts the packets back into voice.
What are the service features of Globocal service?
Globocal offers you the following useful features:
- you get a unique Globocal Number that is a real telephone number issued by the local telephone company in Toronto Canada
- there is no charge for receiving incoming calls at your Globox
- you can call and talk with another party anywhere with a Globocal Number at no per-minute charge
- all incoming calls to your Globox after a certain number rings will be routed to your personal voice mail box where the caller is greeted with your personal greeting message inviting him/her to leave a message; the voice mail box of each Globocal subscriber can store up to 10 messages at any one time - each message may be up to 10 minutes in length and when it saved, it can be stored for up to 5 days.
- a voice mail message left in your personal voice mail box is automatically delivered as a file attachment to your personal email address at no service charge; you may listen to the voice message using a voice-enabled PC or PDA
- you may access your voice mail box to listen to your voice mail messages by simply dialing to the voice mail server from your Globox; there is a per-minute charge of US$0.02/minute for use of the voice mail server for retrieving voice mail messages
- all calls to telephone numbers that are not Globocal Numbers are billed at greatly reduced rates
- a service portal at www.globocal.com offers you a user name and password protected access to your account information and CDRs (Call Detail Records) of calls made and received
- An optional 8-party Call Conference Bridge service you can use it to invite up to 7 parties to be in conference call with you; you set up the conference call by going to a service configuration page at
www.globocal.com to enter the date and time to invite a certain party to the conference bridge and the partys telephone number or Globocal Number (if he/she is a Globocal subscriber);
you can also set up a conference call by inviting one or more parties to join a telephone conversation already in progress by simply accessing the Globocal conference bridge facility and entering the telephone number or Globocal Number of the party to be invited to join the conversation
What are the benefits of using Globocal service?
Globocal service enables you to design and build your own Globocal service domain, consisting of subscribers of the Globocal service who are the people that you talk to on a regular basis and who may be your family members, relatives, friends, business associates, suppliers and customers anywhere on the Internet and physically anywhere in the world so that you can call and talk to them or they to you at no per-minute charge. What do I have to do to get to use Globocal service?
You have to do the following:
- sign up with your local reseller of Globocal service to become a subscriber for Globocal service
- pay a one-time set up charge of US$30.00 which may be waived if you commit to service subscription of 6 months
- prepay the monthly service subscription fee for the basic service package at US$25.00 for the first month and the monthly service subscription fee for optional services such as Call Conference Bridge service
- purchase a Globox for use
- make prepayment for a minimum credit amount of US$50.00 to cover the cost of usage to be incurred
- make payment for the monthly subscription fee of US$25.00 into your Globocal account by VISA or Mastercard with written authorization
Note that Globocal is a prepaid service: monthly service subscription fee for each month is prepaid before the beginning of the month. The subscriber can make chargeable calls to telephone numbers that are not Globocal Numbers only when there is sufficient credit amount in the subscribers Globocal account to cover the cost of the call. The maximum duration to be allowed for such a call is calculated, based on the per-minute rate according to the dialed destination number and the available credit in the subscribers Globocal account, by the Globocal system before the call begins.
What kind of ISP (Internet Service Provider) service do I need for use with the Globox for Globocal service?
You can use Globocal service with broadband high speed access to the Internet or with a dial-up access to the Internet by dialing up through your local telephone company line to your local ISP (Internet Service Provider);
the broadband service may be in a LAN (Local Area Network) behind NAT (Network Address Translation);
an appropriate kind of Globox has to be used with broadband service you can use Globox-BB-1or
Globox-BB-2 and connect a regular single line phone to the unit or use Globox-BBT which is an IP Phone.
With dial-up access to Internet, you can use Globox-DU and connect a regular single line phone to the unit or use Globox-DUT which is an IP Phone with a built-in 56K modem.

What kind of incentive program do you offer for referral services?
A reward of US$5.00 is credited to your Globocal Service account for each new Globocal subscriber introduced by you.
How can I test out your service quality?
There are 2 ways:
(1) an authorized reseller of Globocal service in your local area can give you a demo to show you how the service works and let you experience the high voice quality of the service
(2) we provide you with a softphone known as Ecofone, embedded with a temporary test Globocal Number, that can run in your PC to enable you to make and receive calls through Globocal service and to let you experience the service quality, etc.
Is it difficult to install the Globox and configure it for use?
In the case where you have broadband connection through DSL or cable modem, plug the Globox-BB into the modem, and configure the username and password given by the DSL service provider if using DSL. Connect your computer (if any) to the Globox-BB to share the internet access.
In the case where you have a LAN (Local Area Network) behind a NAT (Network Address Translation) router, plug the Globox-BB or Globox-BBT into a hub or switch of the LAN, and configure the Globox as a DMZ host or virtual server in the NAT router.
In the case of Globox-DU and Globox-DUT that requires dial-up to the local ISP to establish access to the Internet, plug the Globox into the telephone line, and configure the dial-up access number, username, and password given by the dial-up service provider. Connect your computer (if any) to the Globox-DU to share the internet access.
Your local reseller can help you to install and configure the Globox unit if you need the help to do so. You need to inform the Globocal reseller your internet connection method when you sign up for the service.
How can I become a reseller of Globocal service and what qualification do I need to have?

The basic essential qualifications are that
(a) you have to be able to articulate the concept and the benefits of the Globocal service and be able to demonstrate the use of the service and

Do you offer private-labelling of the Globocal service?
The software that supports the Globocal service is designed to support private-labelling if required. The decision to offer private-label production of Globocal service will depend on the business proposition of the proposing party.
